Dr. K. M Cherian Heart Foundation has started functioning at Tiruvalla from December, 2011 after a successful and satisfying experience of serving the patient at Parumala from 2004 till date and the new centre functions in a seven storied stand-alone centrally air-conditioned building attached to the Pushpagiri Medical College, Tiruvalla. Commited to bringing world class cardiac care to Kerala, the foundation has a faculty including renowned adult and paediatric cardiologists and cardiac surgeons. The centre also draws upon the large pool of talent in the parent centre, Frontier Lifeline Hospital, Chennai. Thus the range of cardiac services includes coronary interventions, balloon mitral valvuloplasties, electrophysiologic interventions, device closures, foetal echocardiography and neonatal interventions. Cardiac surgeons offer surgical treatment for adults and children, performing coronary bypass, valve surgery and a spectrum of complex congenital operations. The foundation is also entering into a tie-up with leading research centres in the country to promote collaborative research work.
