St. Gregorios Cardio Vascular Centre is located in the banks of holy river Pampa at Parumala which is a small Panchayat in Pathanamthitta district Kerala. It is there that that the mortal remains of Geevarghese Mar Gregorios, the first canonized Saint of Syrian Orthodox Church, are interred. St. Gregorios Cardio Vascular Centre, Parumala, is just three days older than its urban co- unit Frontier Lifeline Chennai. Supported by Parent premier institution this 50 bedded hospital shares its premises with the 30- year old St. Gregorios Mission Hospital at Parumala. Supplemented with a competent work force, the hospital ensures excellent nursing support to cater to personal requirements at an affordable cost.

The centre comprises of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery departments with a well equipped operation theatre and post Operative units. A state of the art ICU provides optimum post operative care for complex cardiac disorders in adults and children as well as for neonates. The Coronary Cardiac Unit (CCU)  has a 10 bedded invasive monitoring facility; a state of the art Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab and Enhanced External Counter Pulsation facilities have been integrated for the benefit of ther rural community in and around Parumala. It also has the unique distinction of having successfully employed homografts and xenografts, most of which are not available anywhere else in Kerala.   

Endoscopic Vein Harvesting for Coronary Bypass Surgery is another innovative procedure that is another innovative procedure that is undertaken exclusively at SGCVC with almost 100% of our patients benefiting from this with great success. It is a hi- tech hospital in a rural setting. It is indeed noteworthy”. On his visit to Parumala on 18th December 2005, He stated “I am happy to find that a high technology Cardio thoracic and Vascular Diseases Centre has been created in a remote Panchayat (Parumala) Kerala which is a dream for every rural Indian
